The Heroes:
Perrin A blacksmith's aprentice who dabbles in magics learned from a mysterious hermit known as Alain, he is returning from a trip his parents hoped would discourage these mystical leanings.
Valyn A sailor like his father and his father before him, Valyn is a part-elf, returning home from his travels aboard the merchant vessel Riasain (Lady of the Sea).

The Places:
Piketon A small fishing village located in the Lakes district of Sirna, Piketon is the home of the core heroes. It's most notable landmark is a statue of Tyras the Bold, an early Yarrin warrior and explorer.
Coryn The capital of Sirna, Coryn is a merchant city. Mines in the hills to the north of the duchy provide the city with the metals and gems that are the primary exports, while finished goods, horses, and artworks move through the city from the ports to the south and Haven to the north.
Haven The capital of Lindon (the nation north of Sirna) and a major port on this end of the Enclosed Sea, Haven is renowned as a center of learning and culture. Its museum and library are widely considered to be among the greatest on the continent.
